![]() I suppose having them miss by 5 or 10 yards like in older editions was "more realistic". At the end of the day, how I miss is irrelevant.ĥ0% of my chances created, come from crosses and not having the 1 vs 1 situation as often. I have many chances deflected wide or footsaved, but the straight into the arms of the keeper, doesn't happen to me in every match. Realistic? Not very, that might happen once in 10 years, but it does happen. Frustrating sure, but I had a guy with the ball on the goal line not score, because he took a touch (?) and ended up getting tackled. Simply put, the scoring ratios or % is very close to RL football, it's just not always displayed that way in the 3D Match engine. I do agree that the animation should be improved and that catching such an attempt should be out of the question. When im watching professional football, and I see someone in a 1 on 1 position its very unlikely that they do not score. Not sure if you have seen what players do in 1 on 1's in this game but ill give you an example: Originally posted by Blackfyre:If I give you 20 1 on 1's, you will not score more than 7 or 8 against a good keeper. Having "places shots" helps too, better than "shoots with power". The game creates a few too many of these chances, so it tends to look bad,(especially if you play with key highlights only) but the scoring ratio is ok. With the newer balls swerving and moving more in the air, longshots have become more fashionable again.ĭeflections getting saved is far more criminal. The only way you are saving it, is if it hits you.Īs to longshots, as a keeper you have enough time to take 1 step and dive, if you can't reach it then, you never will. If you think you can even see that from 5-10 yards out from a header, you are kidding yourself. ![]() Or the other way, where you go through patches of simply scoring in every game, and missing very few chances.īoth headers and longshots have been measured at over 200km/hr. We used to do this at training and the average is ok, it's not as easy as you think when you have a 1.90m GK charging at you, timing is everything.Īnd it can go straight out the window in match situations, where you just can't seem to get the ball to drop right, or bounce your way. If I give you 20 1 on 1's, you will not score more than 7 or 8 against a good keeper.
